Skill Builder

This center helps develop fine motor skills by being able to put the peg inside of the little monster.

It’s great to discuss all the different colors that the child sees and help them to name them.

Discuss Halloween costumes and how people get dressed up for Halloween and the difference between pretending and real.

Vocabulary words

Pretend, Real, Halloween Costumes, Colors: Green, Blue, Navy, Purple, Orange, and Hot Pink

Play-Do monsters

Orange shredded paper for gift bags.

If you take the monsters out and add water to the paper, it makes some really cool pasty substance that the children can play with. Add spoons and cups, maybe little metal pots and pans to let them feel like they are cooking. Don’t forget smocks, that all ways save the day.
